About the Dhabiyan Team

Dhabiyan Equestrian Club is owned and managed by Tina Al Qubaisi, a Brit with a huge passion for horses and a zest for life. She started with one horse for her daughter in her back garden, but was soon teaching others at her home in Khalifa B. As her students and horses multiplied, it became evident that more space was required, so in January 2007 she founded Dhabiyan Equestrian Club on her farm in Rahba. She now has 15 horses and over 40 riders on her books.

Tina has ridden since childhood and has experience in all disciplines. She also promotes hollistic horsecare and prefers natural remedies whenever possible. Each of the horses at Dhabiyan Equestrian Club has been rescued from dire circumstances and with Tina's love and dedication they are nursed back to health and schooled by the team until they are able to be used in the school. It is a real testament to Tina's faith in her horses when you see them out in the paddock enjoying themselves-happy, health and safe!

Tina is assisted in the running of the stables by two superb grooms and horse trainers, Mohammed and Arif who are both from Rhajastan, India. Both guys are incredible riders and have vast experience in the care and training of horses.

In June 2007, Charlotte, a Scot, joined the team as an instructor. Charlotte has ridden since the age of two and has competed in Showjumping and Working Hunter events. She has taught children's riding classes in the UK and specialises in mounted games and jumping.

Sandra is from Gemany and is a top level dressage rider. She can often be seen putting her horse Mirage through his paces and looks like poetry in motion! Sandra teaches German language riding classes at all levels. Sandra was Tina's first livery client in her home at Khalifa B.
